Elite Teams

ELITE Teams are top quality players chosen through a tryout process from our  regional athletes that belong to our regional programs under the Go2Sports umbrella.

Dear ELITE National Families,

We have several exciting updates regarding our ELITE program for the upcoming Fall 2026/Summer 2027 season. We are continuously refining our processes to ensure we provide the best possible support and experience for our ELITE players.

Fall-Only for 2028s (Oldest Grad Year)

To better align with the recruiting calendar and player expectations, our oldest grad year will move to a Fall-only schedule. As regional tournaments conclude in June, we recognize that many committed players are ready to begin preparing for their senior year. Consequently, these ELITE teams will compete in one Fall tournament only.

Invite-Only Model for 2028s

We are transitioning to an invite-only model for our oldest grad year. Given the single Fall tournament schedule and the heavy summer demands on players—including showcases, camps, and clinics—hosting a full tryout is no longer the best approach. We will extend invitations to current team members first, with any remaining spots offered to identified top 2028 players.

House Team for Summer 2028s

For Summer 2027, we will offer an ELITE 2028 House Team. This opportunity is open to players who wish to play an additional tournament or those who remain uncommitted. Spots will be offered to ELITE Black and Gold players first, followed by regional players seeking additional playing opportunities.

Open 6th Grade ELITE Team (Summer 2027 - Invite Only)

Following the success of our Summer 2026 pilot, we will offer a Summer-only ELITE opportunity for top-identified 2033 players (rising 6th graders). This invite-only roster will consist of top competitors across Go2Sports who are looking for an ELITE experience prior to the Fall season.

Updated Tournament Structure: 1 Fall, 1 Winter, 1 Summer

We are shifting from a two-Fall tournament structure to a model consisting of one Fall, one Winter, and one Summer event. This change is designed to maximize recruiting visibility and better manage the family calendar:

Fall: We will compete in the NXT Continental Cup.

Winter: We are adding a winter recruiting event in December. This replaces an October tournament to provide better access to DI recruiting and helps spread out the season.

Summer: We will continue with our successful July Summer tournament schedule.

We believe these adjustments will provide a more strategic and manageable path for our athletes and their families. The success of the ELITE National program continues to build with the addition of some of the strongest clubs in the country to our Go2Sports alliance. The competition, exposure, and visibility offered through ELITE National is unparalleled. We will do all we can to continually refine the ELITE experience to ensure our players have the most competitive platform to showcase their abilities.

FAQ

The ELITE Showcase teams are composed of our top players across all regions from ULTIMATE Lacrosse Princeton, NJ (NJ), Philadelphia, PA (PA), Chester County, PA (CC), Chapel Hill/Raleigh, NC (CAR), and Charlotte, NC (CLT) Minnesota (MN), Triple Threat Elite (NJ) and from PRIDE Lacrosse in Virginia (VA). These teams play in additional tournaments throughout the Fall and Summer. The additional tournaments do not conflict with Regional Tournaments. This is a great way for players to have additional exposure to college coaches at top recruiting tournaments and to play with top players from other Regions they may not otherwise be exposed to.

Yes. ELITE is a highly competitive and nationally recognized program and we are consistently adding top talent to our teams each year. OUR ELITE teams include some of the best players at ULTIMATE and PRIDE, across all regions. ELITE offers showcase teams at graduation years 2027, 2028, 2029, 2030, and 2031. Tryouts for these teams take place each summer for the following year.

We do plan to have two teams at some levels given the talent pool and demand for the experience.

No. Because ELITE Tryouts are prior to our Regional Tryouts, if you make the ELITE team at your age group, you will automatically be guaranteed a spot on a Regional team. However, because the ELITE teams are the best players of each of our regional teams, a deposit must be placed on BOTH teams to hold your spot. All ELITE team members must play for their Regional teams.

We do ask that you still attend your regional tryout date so that we can evaluate players against our current best.

Our ELITE teams will participate in two fall tournaments and one summer tournament. ELITE tournaments will not interfere with Regional team tournaments. Players are expected to attend all ELITE tournaments and activities.

No. The Regional vs. ELITE tournaments are deconflicted by the leadership team so players can be fully focused and perform at their best.

The ELITE Showcase format means practices will be held the day before each tournament at or near the tournament location.

For example, the ELITE 2027 Team will have a tournament on Saturday and Sunday in PA. Players and coaches will arrive Friday late afternoon for a Friday night practice at the tournament location to prepare for the weekend games. Practices typically start at 6:00PM. By structuring the calendar this way, players will be able to practice and bond with their teammates before their games, while reducing travel time and costs for families.

Teams will have one practices in the fall and one practice in the summer the day before each corresponding tournament.

Yes.

Payment is due by way of a deposit and then installment payments. The first payment is due on acceptance of your roster spot. The remaining payments will run automatically every month until the balance is paid. We take 10 installments through the year, August through May.

Payments are automatically withdrawn from your account through TeamSnap. We do not accept checks. All payments must be made through TeamSnap.

NO REFUND AND FINANCIAL POLICIES

We are committed to providing a high-quality travel lacrosse experience for all players and families. Our No Refund Policy ensures that we can effectively plan, secure resources, and maintain the integrity of our program. Please review the following policy carefully before committing to participation.

NON-REFUNDABLE PAYMENTS

All registration fees, team dues, deposits, and payments are non-refundable.

This policy applies regardless of the reason for withdrawal, including but not limited to:

  • Injury or illness
  • Schedule conflicts
  • Changes in personal circumstances
  • Dissatisfaction with playing time, coaching, or team placement
  • Decision to leave the program for any reason

If you cannot attend the tryout we will evaluate you for a position on the team based on a written evaluation from your regional team coaching staff, and based on your full performance of the Summer.

Athletes are invited to the team by position and that will be clear in the invite and Team Snap assignments. Our roster will be capped at 21. We try to take 6 defenders, 6 attackers, and 6 midfielders, a Wild Card Player (can be any position) and up to 2 goalies.
